The kind receptionist told me I could have a pedicure, only, as the combination was unavailable. She told me about 'Exhale' across the street on Arlington and I called. It’s definitely a great spot for a “treat yo’ self” day, and I’ll be back when I can!Īfter traveling 6000 miles from home, a week of walking and a 7-hour train ride, I checked in to the Boston Park Plaza Hotel and asked the concierge where I could get a mani-pedicure on last-minute notice. I left feeling both relaxed and energized!Īll in all, this place is expensive for a reason. Kat was very responsive and checked in to make sure her pressure was okay when I had to breathe through some more painful spots. The room has six lounging chairs with attached lights in case you want to read magazines or do mindful coloring pages. The relaxation room had some light snacks (fresh fruit, dried fruit, trail mix, something fruity and delicious and covered in chocolate) and drinks (two kinds of infused water, hot tea). So the “warm rain shower” started out as more of an Arctic blast 😂 One of these laws is that water can’t be hot when you first turn it on. While this place is fantastic, they still have to obey the laws of nature. The only thing I wouldn’t recommend is the experience shower. There was a large bowl of ice with cold towels by the vitality pool and steam room so you could cool down afterwards! The showers had shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and a lovely aromatherapy spray.

The locker room was decked out with amenities: hair styling products, disposable brushes and combs, and hair elastics. There are toilets, two regular showers, an “experience” shower, a huge vitality pool (large hot tub, could probably fit 15 comfortably but never saw more than 3 in at a time), eucalyptus steam room, and relaxation area.

You are quickly escorted to the locker room and “thermal experience” section, where you get a detailed tour and directions on how to use the facilities. They give you spa shoes and hold the pair you wore in behind the front desk. You are greeted warmly with a hot towel and some delicious “welcome” tea while you fill out your paperwork. This place was amazing from start to finish.
